Classroom Rotations
The Kindergarten Team and support staff have come together to provide specific instruction to best meet the needs of our students. We’ve created a rotation model that takes place 3 out of the 5 days per week of word work time. This model involves rotating students through our three different classrooms to receive instruction based on his or her individual needs. Your child will be working with different teachers as they move through the rotation cycle. All students are receiving instruction to improve their reading skills.

Reading Workshop

Students should not be putting down a book as soon as they finish it. They need talk about their books. They can retell the story including where, who, what, and all in order. They can talk about the characters; how they feel, what they are thinking, what they might say or do next, think about favorite parts, and share what could happen next if the story continued.
