Reading Workshop
This week, we are really working on perfecting our pointer power. Students are noticing that the books they read have patterns, words that are the same on every page. They are using the pattern, picture, and first letter of tricky words to read new books.
How to help: Read a page or two to your child and see if they can continue to read the rest of the book.
Writing Workshop
This week, students wrote about their trip to the pumpkin patch. We used lots of sight words to make a pattern book to tell about our trip.
How to help: Discuss places that you have gone. Ie beach, store, Disney, New York etc.
