These are Orange Cranberry Muffins. Jacob zested an entire orange all by himself. One team worked on the struedel topping--they used a pastry cutter to mix flour, sugar, cold butter and cinnamon. The "wet" team had lots of things to mix together--oil, brown sugar, egg, buttermilk and the orange zest from Jacob. the "dry" team put together flour, sugar, baking powder and craisins. The dry team had to make sure each craisin was coated in flour. Then the wet went into the dry and 24 muffin papers got filled. After that, the struedel toppping went on top of the muffin batter. Mrs. Lamb took them to the kitchen to bake.
When we got baack from our special we watched Ms. Atwood make the glaze--she reamed an orange into a cup of the fluffy kind of sugar (confectioinary sugar) and then drizzled it on top of the struedel part. We were invited to choose a muffin to eat. They were really, really good!
