We arrived this morning and we saw a big shelf thing with words that said VOTE HERE with white paint.
There were two pumpkin drawing—one happy pumpkin and one scary pumpkin. Echo the Owl was holding a sign that said “Vote Yes for No Nose”.
After recess we lined up to get our ballots which were three different colors of unifix cubes. We needed to tell Mrs. Lamb to tell her our name so she could check us off of the list.
After we got our unifix cubes we went to so that we could vote on how the eyes, nose and mouth should look. There were two choices for each—happy eyes and scary eyes, happy nose (no nose) and scary nose and happy mouth and scary mouth. Each child voted by putting a unifix cube into a cup. The Blue ones were for the eyes, The red ones for the nose and the yellow for the mouth.
After we found out what won, Ms. Atwood drew the face on.
