What a wonderful start to Kindergarten today! I was greeted at the busses with smiles and hugs from kids ready to dive into Kindergarten! We packed our day full of fun! We learned lots of routines, toured the building to find the office, the nurses office, the library, the art room, music room, gym and, of course, the bathrooms! We read a wonderful story about starting school and even played a game on our Smartboard! We got to play with the toys in our room, as it was much too hot for outdoor play. We also got to go to our first assembly. Mr. Larson read us a book about not giving up and how being frustrated can be a good thing - it means we're challenging ourselves. Check out some pictures below.
I was so impressed with the kids level of independence, courage and kindness. We have new friendships blossoming already! I just know this is going to be a great year! Can't wait for tomorrow!! |
