In our study of the weather, we learned that meteorologists use tools to help them predict the weather. We made a wind gauge, or anemometer, to learn the direction and relative speed of the wind! We noticed times where the air was still, when there was a little wind and even felt some good wind gusts!

The PTO sponsored a wonderful Cultural Council on mindfulness today. We learned about different tools to help calm us when we are feeling frustrated, stressed or sad, like deep breathing, yoga, sending out positive thoughts to the world, coloring, etc. We learned about words like respect and empathy, too. All this while dancing and giggling!
We had so much fun exploring weight with a pan balance. We tested a variety of objects to see which weighed more or less. Did you know even a tissue has weight?!
Here are some pictures I got this past week as the kids dove into some good books and began building new friendships! Enjoy! (Sorry some are sideways...When working on my iPad, I can’t seem to rotate them!)
