We've been so busy lately!! Here are some pictures of all we've been doing! We had a visit from our Firefighters! How so you like our hats?! We are writing like scientists! We took a nature walk to find signs of fall. Then, we looked closely with magnifying glasses to really SEE them...find the tiny details to make our writing come to life!

Thank you to Rose's Berry Farm in Glastonbury for hosting us for our first field trip! We took a tractor ride up and down some big hills through the orchard to a huge pumpkin patch. Here we were able to choose our very own sugar pumpkin to take home. Then we rode back and had a yummy snack of cookies, apples and apple cider. After that we got to play on their awesome playground before heading back for lunch. We couldn't have asked for better weather! Thanks to all of the families who were able to join us!!
We had such fun dressing as our favorite storybook characters!! The kids costumes were so much fun! We were so excited to celebrate, that we invited our 3rd Grade Buddies from Ms. Stupakevich's class to join us and listen to us read! They were very impressed!
We have been learning so much about reading with each other! We know now that reading partners are like coaches - they teach us, watch and listen to us, and encourage us as we learn to read. It's fun to read to a friend, too!
