On Monday, January 7, our PTO sponsored a cultural arts program about the culture, music and dancing of Brazil. The music was very upbeat and the dancing was fast paced! All the children enjoyed the program and some even got to participate on stage!!!

Kaleidoscopes from Denmarkwhen I was in Denmark visiting our daughter and son in law for Christmas, I found these kaleidoscopes for the kids made in Denmark. The girls and boys had fun with them!!!
Holiday PartyRight after the Holiday Carol Sing, we had our holiday party. Some parents came right after our sing-along and helped us make a fun Santa to take home! We made triangle sandwiches into reindeer using pretzel sticks for antlers, raisins for eyes and red candies for the noses! We left our classroom to sing some holiday songs around school!!! When we returned we found that Santa or one or some of his helpers left the girls and boys some special things!!! It was a fun party!!! THANK YOU to all the parents who came to help and celebrate with us and for everyone who brought or sent things in for our party!!!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO EVERYONE!!! Holiday Carol SingOn Friday morning, December 21, our whole school and some parents and friends gathered in the cafeteria for our annual holiday Carole sing!!! Everyone sang lots of fun songs and at the end the staff performed the Twelve Days Of Christmas - all related to things at BES!!! THANK YOU MRS. STERN for a fun holiday carol sing!!!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO EVERYONE!!!
Making Reindeer Food with Mrs. GerzOn Thursday, December 20, Mrs. Gerz came in and made reindeer food with the children to spread out on their lawns on Christmas Eve! Mrs. Gerz had a special family recipe given to one of her ancestors from Mrs. Claus!!!! She told her special story, then the children helped make the reindeer food and finally the girls and boys scooped it into little bags to take home!!! THANK YOU MRS. GERZ for making the special reindeer food with us!!! It was a FUN activity!!!
Pajama DayFriday, December 14 was Pajama Day at BES!!! The children were nice and cozy all day and helped raise money for a good cause!!!
Getting a Little Taste of the SnowOn Thursday, December 13, we had a little snow while the children were outside at recess! Some of the girls and boys enjoyed opening their mouths and feeling the wet, fresh snowflakes touch their tongues!!!
