What a fantastic trip we had to Rose's Orchard in North Branford! The weather was beautiful as was the farm. We had a great tractor ride through the orchard where we saw pumpkins, apples of all varieties, geese, a beautiful pond and some very creepy creatures in the woods! We each got to choose a sugar pumpkin to take home, had some fun in a hay maze and enjoyed lunch together. Thanks to all of the volunteers to helped out! When we got back to school, we used magnifying glasses to examine our pumpkins like a scientist. We'll be writing about them this week.

Boy, did we have a busy week! I am so proud of the kids for how hard they worked and how helpful they were while I was out. Many thanks to Mrs. Lamb, Mrs. Gersz and to Mrs. Ferrera for keeping things moving and having a great time with the kiddos!
We learned about Christopher Columbus and what a brave explorer he was, learned about fire safety from our local firefighters, and even met Mrs. Burt's new puppy, Hank! |
